As a teenager, Paul had fallen in love with a fellow student named Destiny, and the two became a couple and eventually married. Not a year after little Alexis was born, Paul took Destiny out on a vampire hunt with him and to his dismay - she was taken from him. For nearly eighteen years, Paul had convinced young Alexis that he was her uncle, in an attempt to protect his only child from his night job. Paul set Alexis up for adoption to Desmond and Janet Hobbs, as long as they promised to let him tell her the truth when 'the timing was right'.
He owns and runs an auto shop in Willowshire during the day, but at night - he is a vampire hunter. The blood of the hunter runs in the Waldron family, and he knew it was inevitable that some day his precious daughter was going to need the same training he and his sister Kim experienced in their youth.
When Alexis turned eighteen, Paul reveals to her the secret of who her real family is and what she truly is.
